How to disable hardware acceleration on a Chromebook.

If you're experiencing a green screen while playing videos or during a video conferencing call, disabling hardware acceleration may help.

How To Disable Hardware Acceleration

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Type chrome://flags/ in the address bar & press enter
  3. Scroll down to "Hardware-accelerated video decode".
  4. Select "Disabled" from the drop-down menu.
  5. Restart Chromebook when prompted.
